Civil Judge Vacancy In Jharkhand Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:-

Graduate in Law from a recognized University and enrolled as an advocate under. The Advocates Act, 1961 till last date of submission of application form.

Candidate should possess sound health, bears good moral character and is not involved in, or related to any criminal case involving moral turpitude.

Civil Judge Age limit

Age Limit:- Above the age of 22 years and below the age of 35 years as on 31.01.2023. Age relaxation is given to the following candidates.

Age Relaxation

  • Up to 3 years of age relaxation is given to the ST/SC/Female candidates
  • Up to 10 years of age relaxation is given to the Disabled candidates.

Application Fees:- Candidates belonging to the UR, EWS (Economically Weaker Section), Backward Class (Schedule-II) and extremely Backward Class (Schedule-1) category candidates has to pay the application fees of Rs. 600/- + Bank Charges only.

ST/SC Candidates of Jharkhand state has to pay the fees of Rs. 150/- + bank charges.

Candidates can pay the application fees through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/SBI Challan any one of the method.

Jharkhand Civil Judge Syllabus

The Examination shall be conducted in three stages:

• Preliminary Examination (objective type)

• Main Examination (descriptive)

• Viva voce/Personal Interview

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

1. The Preliminary Exam shall consist of –

 • General English

• General Knowledge (including Current Affairs)

• The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908.

• The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

• The Indian Evidence Act, 1872.

• The Law of Contract, 1872.

• The Indian Penal Code, 1860.

2. The Preliminary Exam shall be of 100 marks.

3. Duration of Preliminary Exam shall be 2 hours.

MAINS EXAMINATION

The Main exam will consist of 4 papers of 100 marks each, comprising of questions on the following subjects. Each paper will be of 3 hours. The marks obtained in Preliminary Examination shall not be counted for the purpose of final selection. There shall be no negative marking.

• Procedural Law (The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 and The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973).

• The Indian Penal Code, 1860.
