Air Force School Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

1.           Principal Senior Secondary School

  • Mandatory Qualifications.
    • Academic Qualification. Masters Degree, with  a  minimum  aggregate of 50 percent, from any University recognised by the Govt of India/ UGC/AICTE. The Masters Degree should be in any one of the subjects taught in the Senior Secondary classes of that Air Force School. Those holding a Masters Degree in any other subject will not be eligible for the post.
    • Professional Qualification. A Bachelor of Education Degree or its equivalent from a college/university recognised by Govt of India/AICTE/UGC/ National Council of Teachers Education.
    • Experience. Teaching experience of at least two years as a PGT or experience of at least two years as Principal of a Senior Secondary/Secondary School or at least three years teaching experience as a TGT.
    • Age.

(aa) Should be in the age group of 35 to 50 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled. There will be no upper age limit in the case of serving staff of Air Force Schools but they should have at least two years of residual service as on 01 July of the academic year in which they are being considered for the post.

(ab) Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation upto a maximum of five years.

(ac) Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than  six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit. Such ex-servicemen candidates, if selected for the post, will also retire from the School as per rules of the Society.

(ad) Candidates with at least two years continuous service as a PGT  or at least three years continuous service as a TGT in any Air Force School but presently not working in a Air Force School, will be given age relaxation upto the extent of such service rendered in Air Force School.

  • Language. Should be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.

  • Knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Office.
    • Conversant with POCSO Act, CBSE rules, NCERT etc.
  • Attended educational workshops.

2.           Principal Secondary School

The Graduate Degree should be in any one of the subjects taught in the Middle/ Primary classes of that Air Force School. Those holding a graduate degree in any other subject will not be eligible. However, if such candidate holds a Masters Degree in any of the subjects taught in the School, he/she will be eligible for the post.Professional Qualification. A Bachelor of Education Degree or its equivalent from a college/university recognised by Govt of India/AICTE/UGC/ National Council of Teachers Education.Experience. Teaching experience of at least two years as a PGT/ TGT/PRT or at least three years as a NTT or experience of at least two years as Principal/HM of an Air Force School.

(iv)                                 Age

(aa) Should be in the age group of 25 to 50 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled. A Bachelor of Education Degree or Nursery Teachers Training Certificate/Montessori or its equivalent from a college/university/institution recognised by Govt of India/AICTE/UGC/National Council of Teachers Education/State Council of Educational Research &Trg (SCERT).Experience.       Teaching experience of atleast two years or experience of at least one year as Principal/HM of any Air Force School.

(aa) Should be in the age group of 25 to 50 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled. There will be no upper age limit in the case of serving staff of Air Force Schools but they should have at least two years of residual service as on 01 Jul of the academic year.

(b)          Desirable Qualifications (Due weightage to be given during selection)

  • Knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Office.
    • Ability to read/write/communicate in Hindi.
    • CTET/STET qualified candidates will be given additional weightage during selection.
  • Promotion of Regular NTT/PRT/TGT/PGT to Regular PRT/TGT/HM/PGT/ Principal.  NTTs,  PRTs,  TGTs  and PGTs  on regular vacancies are eligible for promotion to regular posts of PRT, TGT, HM, PGT and Principal respectively only in the Air Force School where they are presently employed. They are to be considered before the vacancy is advertised (Also see Para 4 Chapter 5 of this Code).Promotion will be subject to the following conditions:-
    • Vacancy of PRT/TGT/HM/PGT/Principal should be available in the School.
    • Should have the requisite qualification for the post applied for.
    • They will have to undergo the probation period for PRT/TGT/HM/PGT/Prinipal.
  • Last drawn pay as NTT/PRT/TGT/PGT will be protected.
    • In case they do not complete six months service as a PRT/TGT/PGT before the vacations, they will be paid vacation salary as per their entitlement as a NTT/PRT/TGT.
    • In the event of non-confirmation as a PRT/TGT/HM/PGT/Pricipal, such teacher will have the option of reverting back to the regular post of NTT/PRT/TGT/PGT. In such case, service rendered as PRT/TGT/HM/PGT/Principal on probation will count towards calculation of increment for NTT/PRT/TGT/PGT.

Note: – ED is to ensure that the vacancy arising due to selection of a staff to a higher post through DPC is filled only on contractual basis till the promotee staff is either confirmed in the higher post or reverted back to the earlier post.

9.           Nursery Trained Teacher

  • Mandatory QualificationsSenior Secondary with Nursery Teachers Training diploma or diploma in Nursery/Montessori/Pre-Primary Teachers Training or Diploma in Elementary Education from a Govt recognised institution. While candidates with higher qualifications may apply, preference is to be given to candidates with diploma in Nursery/Montessori Training.Should be in the age group of 21 to 50 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled.Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation upto a maximum of five years.Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit. 10.        Librarian

  • University degree in Library Science or graduate with one year diploma in Library Science from a Govt recognised institution.
    • Should be in the age group of 25 to 50 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled.
    • Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation upto a maximum of five years.
    • Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit.   • 10+2 with Science.
    • Should be in the age group of 21 to 50 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled.

    • Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit.   • Graduate from a Govt recognised University.
    • Typing speed of at least 40 wpm in English.

    • Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation upto a maximum of five years.
    • Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit. 13.        Helpers

  • Only the following categories of Helpers (erstwhile Multi-Tasking Staff) are to be employed as per the scale authorized as per Para 7(d), Chapter 4. Henceforth, only the following trade categories of Helpers are permitted:-
    • Ayah
    • Peon
    • Gardener
    • Sweeper
    • No educational qualifications are laid down. However, candidates should be selected keeping in view suitability for trade duties.
    • Should be in the age group of 21 to 40 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled.
  • Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation upto a maximum of five years.
    • Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit.
